Since we were young girls, my sister and I have always loved baking. It was a social event in my house, my mom, grandma, sister and I all in our little kitchen baking. My dad and grandpa hovering over us and fighting over who got to lick the bowl. When my sister and I became vegan, we took those family recipes and updated them. When my sister became gluten free as well, we knew we had a challenge on our hands. Armed with her lifetime experience in baking and chemistry degree, she dove into the mysteries of gluten free flours and created a special flour blend that we now use every day.
When we moved to New Orleans we realized we were not the only ones searching for delicious desserts that were also gluten free and vegan. Inspired, Girls Gone Vegan was born! To keep it simple and avoid cross contamination, we made our product line and kitchen 100% gluten free & vegan (egg free & dairy free). By keeping our kitchen completely free of gluten, dairy, and eggs, we can safely serve customers with severe allergies. We created our name to be playful, memorable and make people smile. Our logo to be beautiful and timeless, like how we see New Orleans.
